The Liebster Blog Award

The Liebster Blog Award is for smaller blogs with fewer than 200 followers. Together, we can help each other network for greater visibility. So here are the 'rules' of accepting the Liebster Blog Award:
  1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award.
  2. Link back to the blogger who awarded you.
  3. Copy and paste the Liebster Blog Award on your blog.
  4. Reveal your top five blog picks for the award.
  5. Let them know you selected them by leaving a comment on their blog.
I am happy to have received the Liebster Blog award from Sam of Two Black Doggies, a fun blog filled with tales of European travels (especially Italy) and of course, her adorable two black doggies. She has also helped spread the news of the floods in the Cinque Terre and this has helped immensely. Thank you so much Sam!

Here are some really great blogs that I think everyone should know about (some were impossible to see the number of followers, so hopefully they fit the qualification):

Little Paradiso - My "partner in crime" during all the flooding updates. Her blog, when not reporting on the 5 Terre, is a wonderful collection on the beauty of everyday Italian life in the hills of Liguria. Her stories of trips, hikes and just staying home in the county side are a real glimpse into the dream of marrying in Italian and living "la dolce vita".

The Red Shaker - A fantastically fun blog devoted to the art of the martini, for the person who loves to invent new cocktails. I love the mixes they throw together (or carefully ponder and create) and then give a detailed report of their libation, including their own "olive" rating system. If you enjoy discovering new liqueurs and fun recipes, check them out!

All Things Sicilian and More - I am not sure about her number of followers, but Marisa, writing from Melbourne, shares detailed recipes of classic Sicilian dishes, often unknown outside the shores of Sicily. She has oodles of seafood recipes and so much more. She has also recently published a cookbook of these treasured seafood dishes.

Urban Garden Solutions -  The Urban Gardening movement is rapidly 'growing' across the world and I am a big fan! Having access to your own natural, organic produce is a basic human right and should be available to everyone, no matter where you live. This blog is a wealth of information on growing, planning and so much more. With only 77 followers, we need to spread the word! Sign up to follow this blog!

Farm Apartment - This blog is part of the new movement of Urban Gardening. I am a huge fan of home growing, even if you live in an apartment. This blog is all about a woman's quest to prove you can grow food even without having 'land'. She gives stories, news, experiments and even recipes with homegrown vegetables. There should be no shortage of food in this world, because we can all grow it no matter where we live!

Hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do!

  2. Thank you Nicole! This'll go up on my next post as today's was way too long. I did put a link onto a post of yours though! And this was before I had actually read about this!
